If itÕs up to the designs of Rebekka Ruetz, then weÕll all be cool rock chicks next summer! On the one hand, the designer showed lots of batik pieces with especially light, softly draping maxi dresses (which immediately made me crave for summer and relaxed festival nights). ÊOn the other hand, we could see lots of leather pieces which were the perfect break in style to the soft materials. So again, one could see that Rebekka Ruetz loves to mix and match materials and generate conceptual breaks. The make-up of the models underlined exactly that rock chick attitude, as they were styled with half-buns and edgy eyeliner creations. And last but not least, I was more than happy to see that they were all sporting flatforms and plateau sandals. So our feet can enjoy another relaxed summer without heels. 😉

HashMag Blogger Lounge

Back in January, the HashMag event has already been one of my favorites as it is the perfect place to connect and meet with other blogger girls. And also this summer, it did not disappoint me, as there were lots of stands from different brands. My favorite was the enormous flower bouquet, which Kathi and I immediately used for some photo action. Apart from that, we also got the chance to personalize our eco-friendly T-Shirts from C&A with embroidered quotes or initials. IÕll show you very soon what it says on my shirt Ð but you can be sure, that it is not the typical blogger quote (haha) 😉 .

Raquel Hladky

Raquel Hladky was probably one of the not so well known designers at Berlin Fashion Week SS18. But nevertheless, the show totally rocked true to the selected Êmotto ‘Motocrossbabes’. The designs are unisex so that both male and female models were sent down the runway. Also, the production of ÊHladkys designs are eco-friendly and cruelty free.

Also Franziska Michael based her collection Êon an unisex approach. With lots of patent leather, oversized cuts and mixing different materials there were lots of Ê90s Vibes going on. My favorite easy definitely the light pink striped coat with palazzo pants.

COCO CAFƒ

Independent from Berlin Fashion Week but nevertheless connected to it, was the Coco CafŽ at Hotel Adlon Kempinski. The reason for this event is the relaunch of the Chanel Lipgloss with a new formula. With drinks, goodie bags and a service counter in place Êwe definitely enjoyed our time there! And of course, a Photobooth wasn’t missing too. 🙂

Prabal Gurung

Last but not least , as one of the last shows taking place at 6pm on Friday was Prabal Gurung. And oh my – what a show it was !! Starting with the sounds of “You don’t own me” he sent down the models in statement shirts saying “I am an immigrant” or “The future is female”Ê and “Love is Love”. Styled with midi and maxi skirts, these looks from the Resort Collection 2018 were definitely more than wearable! Also, lots of volants and ruffles were seen on dresses, skirts and blouses in combination with cut out details. And you might think I’m crazy now – but the ending of the show almost brought me to tears. With the sound of John Lennon and the famous song text “Imagine there’s no countries / It isn’t hard to do / Nothing to kill or die for / And no religion, too / Imagine all the people /Ê Living life in peaceÉÊ” the show almost got a political note. But for sure, it sent shivers down my spine, maybe I’m a bit over-sentimental at the moment but it was definitely a moment that I will not forget that easily… .

BERLIN FASHION WEEK SS18 REVIEW – MY CONCLUSION

Resuming, this moment also showed me again what fashion is about. It is not about having the latest designer bag or showing the most extravagant pieces. It can be a feeling, a mood.. . It can be a statement or Êa memory. It is something that reminds you, something that touches you.

Maybe I’m getting a bit overboard here but what I mean is that this fashion week was way more fun for me than in January. Probably because I focused on the people, the networking and having fun and not getting stressed in fear of missing out. Or being jealous about what others might experience Ê(because yes, let’s be honest, we all get jealous from time to time). And I hope that this feeling will continue and also catch other bloggers but not only me. Along the fashion week events and shows, I’ve met lots of nice people that encourage and support each other and most important – wore a smile on their face. ?
