Oh December what a month – Christmas preparations, festive outfits, mulled wine & gingerbread. So here it is – my monthly recap of all outfits, events and my upcoming plans for January 2017.
OUTFITS OF THE MONTH: DECEMBER
Well in terms of the weather, december was not what we expected it to be. From minus grades (but no snow) to temperatures like in early spring (but without the sun), the outfit choice was not always an easy decision. 😉 But here it is: my collection of all outfits from december.
PATENT LEATHER SKIRT & TARTAN
December was also the month where I tried new trends, that I would have never worn before. For example patent leather, which was part of my first look with a patent leather skirt & the tartan checked scarf.
TREND REPORT LEO COAT
Another trend, that was quite unusual for me but I got addicted to is the Leo Coat. That’s why I wrote a whole trend report only about the Leo Coat with lots of shopping inspiration.
PINSTRIPES CAMISOLE & BLAZER
My third outfit was quite a challenge, as I combined pieces from my closet, which have not been worn for a long time or even never. (In german we call it nicely “Schrankleiche” 😀 ). But it turned out that you actually really liked the look with the Pinstripes Camisole & Blazer.
PASTELL LOOK WITH CHANEL EARRINGS, EMBELLISHED BAG & SATIN BOW SLIPPERS
The last outfit of December was my pastell look with Chanel Earrings, embellished bag & satin bow slippers. It is probably an unusual look for the festive season as it involves distressed jeans, but the accessories are just the perfect amount of glamour, right?! 😉
YOUR FAVORITE POST
Actually, this is always my surprise category. Why ? Because you always rate something else than I would. 😀 In December, your absolute favorite post here on the blog was the Leo Coat Trend Report. So thank you for all your clicks, comments and likes! ♥ By the way: another post series which is pretty popular with you are my weekly reviews – last month the Weekly Review December #1 was also quite high rated.
YOUR FAVORITE INSTAGRAM PICTURE
This picture and this look in general are also one of my absolute favorites ever since I started blogging. And it turns out that you love it as much as I do. 😀 So the photo with the most impressions on my Instagram was this one from the Pastell Look:
EVENTS OF THE MONTH
My December month started with lots of visits from my friends and family, which was actually perfect to get into the Christmas mood. 🙂 Apart from that, I got the chance to go to the Patrizia Pepe Event at their Ku’Damm store. Oh my, I’m still dreaming about those cute crossbody bags and velvet boots… . 😉 Just in time for the upcoming festive season, I also shared with you my favorite holiday dresses for Christmas and NYE. More events like the Ugly Sweater Day and our own little Girls Xmas Party took place. And with my last day at work on the 16th of December, my love and I went to Hamburg to enjoy some free days there. Our schedule was to relax, have great food and buying the last presents. 🙂 Coming back to Berlin, we already packed our bags and drove home to my parents in the north of germany. We had a great family christmas together and enjoyed being together so much! That is what December is all about: celebrating christmas together with all your loved ones. ♥
PLANS FOR THE NEW YEAR & JANUARY 2017
So at the end of this monthly and this time also kind of a yearly recap, don’t be scared: I won’t bore you with my “New Year Resolutions”. 😉 Just a quick outlook what will come in the next few days and in January 2017. For New Years Eve we are planning a small dinner party together with friends at our place. Right now I am still preparing everything but I hope that we manage to have the theme „Gatsby and the roaring Twenties“. For the traveling part, it might be a bit quiet in January, as there will be things like tax declaration and accounting on the agenda. *boring* But nevertheless I prepared for you a Hamburg Foodie Post and there is also a Bangkok & Thailand post in the pipeline. Blog-related, I am still a bit unhappy about the organization & time management, as I want to post more topics and more frequently. But probably everyone of you who is blogging as well, knows that it is sometimes hard to have a fulltime job, friends and family, and the blog as a second hobby and job as well. But I am motivated and let’s see where 2017 will lead me. 🙂
So now it is your turn to tell me about your plans for New Years Eve & are you making any resolutions for 2017? ♥
