The first chapter of 2017 is already history again. January started slowly for me, but it then took off full speed. Fashion Week, a Travel to the Baltic sea and much more – find all the facts about January and my outfits, events and plans for February here.
OUTFITS OF THE MONTH: JANUARY
In terms of the weather, January was really (ice!) cold with lots of snow even here in Berlin. Actually, Berlin felt really quiet and peaceful covered under the white blanket of snow. And it also has been a quite nice background for shooting some outfit pictures. 😉 But on the other hand, it was also really cold! But did that ever stop a fashion blogger from taking pictures… ?! 😉
Glencheck Coat & Stirrup Pants
Actually, this outfit has already been shot in December when we had some more decent temperatures. But still, it shows two of the ongoing trends in this fall/ winter season: glencheck coats and stirrup pants.
Red Knit & Snow in Berlin
Like already said, Berlin truly felt kind of magic with that snow layer covering this bustling city in silence. Plus, the snow has been such a nice contrast to the deep black and crisp red I chose for this outfit.
CAMEL COAT, ZIPPER SHIRT & MCM CLUTCH
Even though this camel coat has been in my closet for almost two years, it never made an appearance here on the blog. This finally changed with this look where I wore the coat with other all-time favorites like the MCM clutch and Raw Hem Jeans.
FASHION WEEK OUTFIT WITH GUCCI BELT & CHANEL BAG
My last outfit in January was also the one that I wore to some events during Berlin Fashion Week. I finally got the chance to wear my Gucci Belt, which has been a Christmas present and arrived just in time. And not to forget that timeless masterpiece of a bag – you can never be wrong with Chanel.
YOUR FAVORITE POST
It seems like that you liked the snow background as much as I did! So the most-clicked article in January has been the Red Knit & Snow in Berlin blogpost. But again, the weekly reviews also have been quite popular with you. especially, the Weekly Review January #5 where I wrote my thoughts about the ongoing blogger & influencer discussion.
YOUR FAVORITE INSTAGRAM PICTURE
Wow, I didn’t expect that to be honest. My favorite pictures of January have been the ones with Military Jacket and Gucci Belt from Berlin Fashion Week. But against my predictions, this detail shot got the most likes and impressions on my Instagram:
EVENTS OF THE MONTH
January started kind of slow and with some To Do’s that were not so amusing. But nevertheless, we enjoyed our weekends to the fullest, especially with the winter wonderland here in Berlin.
Another funny part of January have been my Outtakes, which have been really popular with you and showed again that Nobody is perfect or #flawless. 😉 And in the middle of January, Berlin Fashion Week kicked off again. I only took one day off (hello, “Not-Fulltime-Blogger-Life”) but still had a blast and met so many lovely women. Find my whole review about Berlin Fashion Week here. And again, a big thank you and lots of kisses to those amazing women who showed again that “Blogger girls” don’t need to be bitchy or envious of each other: Kathi, Marlies, Laura, Janine and Michaela. ♥
In the last week of January, I decided to take things a bit slower again and relaxed at home with my family. We had an amzing time at the Baltic sea and it definitely recharged my batteries and cleared my head for the upcoming events.
PLANS FOR FEBRUARY
Traveling-wise there is only a small trip planned for February to go to the Baltic sea again to visit my family. But we finally booked a city trip to Lissabon for the middle of march -so if you have any tipps, you can already let me know?
Blog-related, you might saw that you now finally have the option to change the language in the top left-hand corner. Apart from that, my Style Appetite Shop has been updated as well and I think it is an expression of my its-still-winter but I-already-have-spring-feelings kind of mood. 😉
Personally, I am looking forward to February as there are some upcoming family birthdays and – this is a confession – I do like Valentine’s Day. Haha, ok now you know! It is not that I expect much of that day but I do like the idea behind that day and why not celebrate a bit with a nice dinner at your favorite restaurant, right?
So how was your January in general & do you already have some (travel-) plans for February? ♥
