Office Dresscode: The Pencil Skirt

Introducing you to a new series of fashion posts here on Style Appetite: the Office Dresscode. With my office routine from monday til thursday, I thought it would be a good idea to give you more insights into my corporate job. Working in a formal office job, there comes a specific dresscode with it. While men usually have a clear standard of wearing suits with a shirt, women are a lot more flexible when it comes to their office wardrobe (happily!). So while I’m a big fan of colorful suits as well, I also like to change up the game from time to time.

Office Dresscode: The Pencil Skirt

I guess everyone can agree that either mini skirts as well as maxi skirts are having a hard time for being office-appropriate. That’s why the midi length of a pencil skirt seems to be the perfect fit for an office environment. Especially qualitative materials and an over-knee length guarantee the appropriateness for the office. While the pencil skirt acts as your formal basis, there is no need to go with the standard combination of a blouse. That’s why I went for a fine jumper in trend color orange, which is the perfect fit against the neutral camel of the skirt.
