A refreshing sea breeze, a warm and comfy kingsize-bed, delicious breakfast with scrambled eggs & fresh fruit and just the sweet enjoyment of doing nothing. Also in desperate need of relaxation and wellness? Come away with me to our weekend trip to the baltic sea ….
If you are ever in need of sheer indulgent relaxation, maybe you don’t need to think about something too far away. So when my mum and me were searching for a nice weekend getaway, we first thought about traveling to somewhere in Europe. But as we looked further into it, we found out that the only thing we really need is some quality time for us and relaxation. So we booked a wellness trip for the two of us, not too far away from Berlin. Luckily we found a nice offer at Travelcircus (found via Urlaubspiraten).
Born and raised at the baltic sea, I already knew that Heringsdorf and the island of Usedom in general is a really cute place. But of course, a trip always depends on the hotel. So we were really excited coming to the Steigenberger Grandhotel Heringsdorf. And our expectations were not disappointed. The five-star hotel is directly at the seaside, so we were lucky enough to have one of the rooms which had a direct seaview, plus of course you’ll be at the beach in two minutes.
If you’re more the active type, I’d recommend you to rent bikes and just drive around the island. Ahlbeck and Bansin are really cute little cities. Or if you are interested, you could also drive over the polish border to Swinemünde. And by the way: if you are into Tapas, you should definitely go to El Toro (…feeding my crazy addiction for dates with bacon 😉
Our days mostly consisted of a little morning workout in the hotel fitness center, a big indulgent breakfast accompanied by their private brand champagne, long walks at the beach or some wellness. So if you are looking for blissful laziness and getting your head free – this is the place to stay! 🙂
