About Fashion No Go’s & Trends …
One year ago, I would have claimed myself crazy for wearing a belt bag paired with chunky, ugly sneakers. And yet, here I am – wearing exactly this combination and actually loving it! So I think it’s time for me to recognize, that there is no No-Go in fashion, if you adapt the trend and “make it yours”. I already told you about my hate-love-relationship with belt bags before. So after the small, classic black one this more bulky and bright red version made it into my closet and is actually so functional and stylish at the same time. Also, I love to pair it with Blazers and jackets on chillier days. But for today’s look I also paired it with my wrap dress that actually turned into a Kimono for this outfit. Another trend that I actually love and wrap dresses are pretty versatile if you pair them with pants or jeans too.
The ugly sneaker trend
Seeing the chunky Balenciaga or Louis Vuitton sneakers the other day, I’m still not sure whether I can say that I’m a huge lover of this trend. But – I must say- that there are cool versions of the so-called ugly sneakers. And I also love the fact that they are called “Dad sneakers”, which reminds me of the cliché of an old-german man, wearing bulky sneakers paired with white tennis socks. And this “look” becoming an actual hipster trend now (…Oh I love Berlin for bringing together so many different people and interesting styling’s 😉 ). So I chose the light version of this trend and paired my chunky white Skechers not with tennis socks but with a more feminine touch as you can see.
What do you think about the ugly sneaker trend? Or in general No-Go’s in fashion: is there any trend that you would never ever try?
