Color Blocking 2018

Last week I’ve already shared with you a trend report about the comeback of stripes. So again this week, the trend of color blocking is not really new as you may remember it from some years ago. So Color Blocking is back in 2018! But in a new and different way, as there are many new eyecatching color combinations.   Mia from TheFashionFolks already pointed out in her posts here and here  some new and interesting combos. Yellow and cobalt blue, emerald green and light pink or camel and mustard – there are so many color combos that inspired me.

Color Blocking – Red & Pink

Also today’s combination of pink and flashing red is a combination that might seem unusual at first sight. First I was afraid that this combination might appear “too cute”. But my fear was ungrounded, as pink and red can be a really powerful combination. It really depends on the cut and styling of the pieces of course. Pairing wideleg pants, a chunky knit sweater and the woolen coat are actually the perfect combination for grey late-winter days. Not only my mood immediately brightened up. Also, it is really an eyecatching combo in between all the brown, black and grey coats (even here in artsy-hipster-colorful Berlin 😉 ).  Last but not least, the sneakers are adding some extra coolness so that the look doesn’t look too girly or “cute”.

So any color blocking combination you definitely want to try out? ♥
