Spring is just around the corner – and while I’m not a big fan of shopping guides, I wanted to take time creating a Capsule wardrobe for 2020 but also including the latest Spring Trends. You might noticed that I’m getting more into the topic of sustainability. But I also need to be honest: I’m still far away from being completely sustainable and eco-friendly. But I do try to find ways of improving it. Like building a capsule wardrobe with versatile, easy to combine pieces.
Blazer & Outerwear
Neutral and light colors are at the moment my favorites – and I guess it will stay a bit longer like this. But of course a black blazer and also a light trenchcoat are perfect for your spring wardrobe as well. And for chillier days, I’m still loving my quilted vest that has accompanied me since Copenhagen.
Tops, T-shirts & Blouses
My go-to’s are Tanktops and oversize basic t-shirts. But of course also blouses with statement sleeves or asymmetric shapes are a big trend right now. I’ll stick to my basic shirts and will invest in one statement piece – like the Fendi print one. 😉 Also here I’ll stick neutrals, with some pops of pistachio green or lavender.
Dresses
During our trip throughout Asia, I again recognized the kind of dresses that I’m relying on since several summers. Loose T-Shirt dresses, feminime wrap dresses and also relaxed slip- in dresses. For a night out, I’m a big fan of satin or sheer textures.
Pants & Skirts
In the past, I havent been wearing denim that much. But I have a feeling that this spring will be different as I rediscovered mom jeans for me. Also, Im still a big fan of wide leg pants (not a fan of skinny pants anymore tbh). Also, midi skirts and bermudas are still some of my favorites for spring and summer – nothing changed about that.
Swimwear
Even though summer might still be (far) away, I’ve already stocked up on new swimwear and bikini’s. I’m still a big fan of Scampi Swimwear for it’s sustainable swimsuits and bikinis – you should definitely check them out.
Shoes for spring & summer
Oh I can’t wait to finally wear slides and mules again – my favorites in spring and summer. Quilted ones a la Bottega Veneta are a big trend right now. But also strappy sandals as we already wore last summer are still worth investing.
Bags & Accessories
I’m still super happy with my investments fom last year: the cute little Fendi and my all time favorite, the Jacquemus Grande chiquito bag. Once I stopped buying trend bags at retailers, it’s so much easier to save money for vintage and designer bags, that accompany me many years. Latest addition to the collection: the yellow Prada nylon bag. And on my wishlist right now: a new basket bag for summer.
