Trend Report The Bum Bag

Fashion would never be that exciting I fit would never change right? So the fashion world is living from its constant change, upcoming  trends, comebacks and new discoveries. So I must say that in case of the Bum Bag, my own fashion taste made a huge development. If you would have asked me 5 years ago about wearing a bum bag, the only possible exception for wearing “such a thing” for me would (maybe) be at a music festival (but only to make sure that I have all my stuff together and can dance at the same time…). So coming from this point of view, when I first heard about the comeback of the bum bag (or also called beltbag or fanny pack), I thought that this trend will pass by pretty quickly. But then more and more designers picked up the trend – not to forget the Gucci belt bag or Chloé Pixie – and also streetstyles reflected on this new trend. Eventually, I did find some pretty versions of the previously “hated” bag trend.

So even though you might not find me wearing a belt bag every day, it did became a trend that I finally adapted to and – apart from the functional aspects – especially like the eyecatcher effect that it adds to simple looks like todays combination.  Actually, most of the pieces that I’m wearing today are a result of my stranding in London without my suitcase. After two days of combining my flight outfit and some pieces of my girls, I just couldn’t resist shopping and was pretty successful as you can see. The Gingham Blazer and Mom jeans are just wardrobe staples that will stay in my closet for a long time I guess. But also the black ankle boots were definitely a good buy, as they have the perfect height for office and free time.

So what do you think of the bum bag trend, did you already add one to your wardrobe? And was there any trend that you didn’t like at all in the beginning but then adapted to?
