Holiday wardrobe | The Wrap Dress and a new self-esteem
Selecting a wardrobe for more than a month – wow, you guys can imagine that this seemed like a mission impossible for me. 😉 And while the warm temperatures of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand should have made it even easier to select, I got even more stuck with so many dresses, skirts and bikini options. That’s why I started with the thought of back to the basics and easy going wardrobe staples.
I mostly took (suprise!) a neutral wardrobe with me. And even more important: wardrbe staples that were easy to mix and match, don’t need an iron and (best case) sustainable and easy to wash. And to top it off: eyecatcher bags and statement jewelry as they easily can create a whole new look.
… and a new self – esteem
Another point that I discovered during our travels: I’m caring less about my make-up, my hair and just in general: what I look like and what others could think of me. And while I noticed this point, I definitely want to take it with me during the day to day life (and not only on holidays).
I packed loads of products for haircare and make up but in the end, I was only using the everyday cream and a bit of mascara and eyebrow product (maybe bronzer if I felt like it). And I know it’s easier to say with a holiday tan after one month of asian sun but: this post is not photoshopped and I finally didnt care of covering up pimples, scars or the first wrinkles.
Maybe it’s because I’m getting older (I hope wiser! 😉 ) but with this post, I guess that I’m declaring a new self- esteem and that I want to stop worrying too much about what others think of me. Let it be!
