Panviman Chiang Mai | Hotel Review

After three nights in Bangkok, we were definitely ready for some nature and tranquillity. And after an hour flight, we found it just an hour drive outside of Chiang Mai at the Panviman resort. I guess I never saw a hotel that fitted so perfectly into it’s surroundings as this one. The complex of the hotel might be quite big but you won’t feel overwhelmed by it as everything fits so perfectly into nature. It definitely feels like a Jungle Paradise! When we arrived, the pool area definitely caught our eye first. With amazing views into the valley of Chiang Mai and beautiful waterfalls, we couldn’t stop taking pictures for a loooong time. 😉

The Villas

The villas are nestled within the complex and each has their own entrance and a beautiful balcony with views directly into the jungle. And another big plus: our own jacuzzi pool on the porch! I guess I understand why people thought we were on our honey moon while taking pics in there. 😉 The villa itself is so spacious that you can easily get lost in there! Also I really liked the traditional wooden interior as it just fitted perfectly into the surrounding and the jungle – themed resort of Panviman.

Breakfast & Food options

With a 360degree view of the valley, the breakfast usually took a bit longer than we expected as we just couldn’t stop staring. Even the bathrooms at the lobby are open to enjoy views into the jungle. Definitely such stunning atmosphere! As the hotel is almost an hour drive outside of Chiang Mai (which is probably the only minus point if you ask me), we had dinner almost every night at the panviman restaurant. I definitely recommend you to try their Thai dishes for a traditional taste.

Pool & Spa Area

As pointed out earlier, the resort is located around an hour drive from Chiang Mai. (But don’t worry: there is a hotel transfer two times per day to take you there). But if you seek for relaxation, this place is definitely for you. We tried their traditional Thai massage at the spa and it was one of the most amazing ones we ever had. With welcome drinks and your own choice of massage oil, you will immediately dream away listening to the calming sounds of the jungle and enjoying your massage. Another favorite were the meditation caves that are located underneath the pool and are the perfect place if you search the quiet (or a stunning picture;) ).

Three nights of quiet and tranquillity – what would have been your favorite place to relax and calm your mind?

Thanks to the team of Panviman Resort & Spa Chiang Mai for the invitation. This invitation didnÕt influence my review and this post reflects my own opinion.
