In November, we returned to Amsterdam for a delightful short trip filled with cozy autumn vibes. We stayed at the iconic Hotel Pulitzer, Amsterdam’s oldest five-star hotel, a true gem set across 25 beautifully restored 17th- and 18th-century canal houses. Each room and suite is a unique tribute to Dutch history and craftsmanship, offering its own charm with varying sizes, layouts, and picturesque views.
“A Neighbourhood in its own right”
The Pulitzer’s design draws inspiration from the rich history of its canal houses and their past inhabitants over 400 years—from the Golden Age to mid-century. I admired the most that it blends so easily the rich tradition of the house with modern Dutch craftsmanship. With 225 guestrooms and suites, the Pulitzer Amsterdam offers a wide variety of options, yet maintains an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.
We enjoyed a delightful dinner at Jansz Restaurant, where modern cuisine meets Dutch influences. The dishes perfectly balanced traditional flavors with a seasonal, contemporary twist—all complemented by stunning views of the canals and Amsterdam’s romantic lights.
“Effortless yet elegant all-day dining in the Dutch capital”
Our stay in Amsterdam was simply delightful, with cozy autumn vibes making it truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to return to the city and the charming Pulitzer Amsterdam.
My Top 3 at Pulitzer Amsterdam: Cozy comfort, delectable cuisine, and rich history.
