Cosy & Sustainable Knitwear By Givn Berlin

For me, warm and cosy knitwear belong to winter like chimney fires and Christmas markets. It is therefore all the more essential to rely on durable models that last longer than one season. Givn Berlin has also taken this credo of sustainability to heart. The Berlin label was launched in 2010 and has been committed to sustainable and fair fashion ever since.

Change is not a given. It is on us to make it happen.
We are changing the fashion industry. One piece of clothing at a time.
Join the movement. Be the change.

The aspect of sustainability is reflected on the one hand in the use of fairly sourced materials. My knitted sweater and cardigan as well as the wrap skirt, were made from organic cotton (recycled and /or from controlled organic cultivation). On the other hand, Givn Berlin produces under fair working conditions in Europe – mainly in Poland and Lithuania. This focus on sustainability continues throughout the entire supply chain. And last but not least, it is up to us consumers to care for the products and thus give them a long life in our wardrobes. 🙂

I especially like the timeless knitwear in beige and off-white tones as you can see. In addition to the soft feel and the cosy quality, I can be sure that I will continue to wear them in many winters to come. And how does Givn Berlin put it so beautifully:

We’re not perfect, but we’re working every day to become even more transparent and sustainable.

This is a motto, that I can fully subscribe to. It is for sure, that I don’t own the perfectly sustainable wardrobe or lifestyle yet, but: becoming more sustainable and subscribing to fair conditions in the fashion industry is important to me and I want to support it.
