The last two nights and the end of our trip were celebrated at the Riad Safran et Canelle. And let alone the name already indicates the magoc of the orient and some tasteful hours, right? 😉 So when we walked through the small streets and the heavy wooden doors opened in front of us – we again felt like in a movie. Actually, the riad is located only 10 minutes from the famous Djeema el Fna – which is the most popular place in Marrakech and already a Worl Cultural heritage by UNESCO. So you’re definitely in the middle of the Medina in this riad with short walking distances everywhere!
SAFRAN ET CANELLE | Rooms & Facilities
At Safran et Canelle, you will definitely feel as if walking into a set of a movie – as there are so many cute corners to discover and lovely decoration everywhere. Including the amazing tiles, colorful paintings and a small pool in the middle of the yard. And last but not least – the rooftop offers not only a great view but also the perfect quiet place to get away from the buzzing streets and noise if needed. 😉
The rooms are spread along the different floors and include small bath rooms as well. Admittedly, the rooms aren’t that spacious but they do have their charme with great morroccan interior and how lovely is that golden sink? I wish I could have taken it with me!
SAFRAN ET CANELLE | Breakfast & Food
Oh yes the rooftop terrace was definitelly one of our favorite spots! In the morning, when the city is still asleep and you are on of the first humans waking up and having a coffee – it’s such a perfect place to be. And while sipping the first cup, you can decide whether you would like to have cake, scones or fruit or an omellette or something totally different ? 🙂
Coming back from the buzzing city in the evening, you can also indulge in some morrocan dishes for dinner. We tried the lamb tajine in the inner courtyard, which was absolutely fantastic with the spices and fruits. Along with a glass if delicious red wine – it was definitely the perfect way to end our holidays. ♥
Thanks to the team of Riad Safran et Canelle for the invitation. This invitation didn’t influence my review and this post reflects my own opinion.
