SUMMER AT THE RITZ CARLTON & AUTOSTADT WOLFSBURG

Hey loves, maybe you remember our trip to the Autostadt and Hotel Ritz Carlton Wolfsburg earlier this year?  So we were more than happy to come back to this special place, that is only around one hour away from Berlin. (So definitely stop by if you’re here in the area. ;)).  So coming here for the second time, it almost felt like a “Home away from home”. Last time we were focusing on the museum and the history of the brands of the Volkswagen- empire. But this time we stayed for the summer festival which includes shows, circus and a big outdoor area including its own beach and boat area. But first – let’s check out the Hotel a bit closer.

The HOTEL RITZ CARLTON WOLFSBURG

Already during our last stay in April, we were so happy about the charming service and the classy and stylish interior of the Ritz Carlton Wolfsburg.( Check out more details about the rooms in this blogpost.) This time we stayed at the third floor which is not the club level but also offers an amazing view over the areal of the “Autostadt”.

And of course we made use of the amazing fitness and pool area again. I mean – with that view over the infinity pool, even my motivation can be found in the morning. 😉 Fresh fruits, water, rain showers and lots of care products are another nice side effect. And last but not least, a dip into the pool afterwards is also a nice ending for the workout.

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner at the Ritz Carlton Wolfsburg

After working out and swimming, it won’t take long to be super hungry, right? But don’t worry: the extra big breakfast buffet will have you covered. And with fresh coffee, poached eggs and some bubbly – the energy will be back again. 😉 Also, the Ritz Carlton has lots of restaurant options for lunch and dinner as well. On our second evening, we went for the burger at the panorama terrace which was absolutely amazing!

Summer Festival at the AUTOSTADT

The special part about visiting Wolfsburg in summer? In July and august, the big summer festival is taking place. On the one hand this means that there is a big outdoor area with lots of attractions for kids and families plus a beach and boot area as well. Of course we took a solar boat and took a cruise on the river as well as tanning in those comfy sunbeds.

Another highlight of the summer festival are the shows in the so-called “Cirque Nouveau”. Many different artists and ensembles are presenting their acrobatics, varieté and dancing during these shows and you should definitively check out the programme. With artists from allover the world, we were more than astonished by the shows from the Canadian ensemble “Les 7 doigts de la Main” (Reversible) and the Australian team from “Company 2 – Scotch & Soda” .

CARS & DRIVING EXPERIENCES AT THE AUTOSTADT

Visiting the “Volkswagen -City” Wolfsburg and not getting in touch with cars and the Volkswagen empire? This is of course unthinkable. (Even if it is just me color matching the cars – see below. Is this a valid reason for buying the Bentley?  😉 ).  But we also took the chance to try one of the driving experiences for more safety while driving.  Usually, I’m not that into cars but I was super surprised at how much fun the training was. Driving through the water fountains and practicing to still keep the car under control – we almost felt like acting in a  action movie! 😉 So if you are ever in the area – make sure to book this lesson along with your husband or man (he will forever love you for that lol). Why visit the Autostadt & Hotel Ritz Carlton Wolfsburg?

So why should you visit the Ritz Carlton and the “Autostadt” Wolfsburg ? As I told you in my last blogpost ,you might not have Wolfsburg on your radar but it is only around one hour from Berlin and still so different. The area of the “Autostadt” offers lots of culture and action whereas you can easily relax and enjoy your time at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. So definitively the perfect combination for an exciting weekend!  ♥
