Feeling retro in &other stories rust midi dressÊandÊwhite boots
Out with the old, in with the new.ÊLike this or in aÊ similarÊÊway I would describe my current state of mood (and my wardrobe lol). As I already told you in this week’s review, I can’t wait for spring and all the fresh collections and pieces and trends and and and. But Out with the old, in with the new doesn’t have to mean that we need completely new wardrobes. As I currently also discovered Marie Kondo and her Netflix documentary about cleaning and tidyingÊout, I got even more energy to sort my whole closet. And by tidying and getting everything sorted, of course the selling of beloved old pieces is also a part of that. I guess that a whole new movement started with this, as buying and selling vintage pieces (whether on- or offline) are becoming even more popular these days. And so 2019 seems to be already the year of consciously shopping, a higher interest for eco-friendly labels as well as the targeted hunt for vintage pieces.
Today’s look is practically building a bridge for this credo. The light, airy midi dress was one of my best buys during &other stories’ winter sale and will be for sure more than one season in my wardrobe due to its timeless cut and the neutral color. Same goes for the white leather boots which have been another perfect sale find and are so comfy despite their heel so that I was even able to wear them whole day and night during Berlin Fashion Week. And last but not least – the Louis Vuitton Croissant bag has been one of my best buys ever and made me fall in love with vintage shopping allover again.
