Mid-December, after a long hiatus, we finally visited the Autostadt and the Ritz Carlton Wolfsburg again. Perhaps some might recall our previous visits, like enjoying the best (pool) weather in summer or ice skating in the Winter World of 2018. This time, the Winter World was back, and we were excited for a frosty yet incredibly diverse weekend.
The start was more than successful when we opened the doors to our room – pardon, our suite. Spanning over 70 square meters with its own dressing room, two bathrooms including a freestanding bathtub, and a king-size bed with panoramic views, the vacation feeling set in immediately.”

As mentioned, there was a separate dressing area and two bathrooms. That’s why I couldn’t resist indulging in the master bathroom and enjoying the space and comfort. The hotel left no wishes unfulfilled. As a welcome, we were greeted with macarons and chocolates from the in-house pastry shop – but more on that during the Afternoon Tea.
One of our highlights during the Wolfsburg weekend was the culinary delights at the Ritz Carlton. In addition to dinner and a specially curated Christmas-themed duck menu, we also had the opportunity to try the hotel’s Afternoon Tea. It not only featured authentic British scones and cucumber sandwiches but also various other delicacies, cakes, and specially crafted chocolates. Alongside an extensive tea menu offering tea specialties from around the world, it made for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon overlooking the Autostadt.

On Saturday, among other things, we went on an exploration tour through the Autostadt Wolfsburg, which included a test drive in the Audi Q5. Driving through the wintry landscape around Wolfsburg in frosty temperatures added even more fun to the experience. Besides the driving pleasure, the Autostadt also offers many other tours, test drives, and, during the Winter World, a Christmas market and ice skating.
