SALA Samui Choengmon Beach | Hotel Review
In my latest blogpost, I’ve introduced you to the SALA Chaweng beach whereas the sister hotel SALA Choengmon lies on the more quiet beach of Choengmon in Koh Samui. The traditional thai buildings are already making an impression from fareway and the open air lobby is just the perfect welcome in this little paradise.
With all the greenery and excotic plants, you will definitely feel like the SALA Choengmon is a little oasis on the beach of Choengmon! The openair lobby continues this feeling – and when you make your way through the garden-like Thai village to your pool villa, I can assure you that the holiday feeling gets to you to the last cell. 😉
The Villas and Suites
Behind the big wooden doors of the different villas and suites, the holiday feeling continues. We spent our nights at one of the SALA pool villa‘s with our own little private pool and many exotic plants in the garden that also had another surprise for us: the open air bathroom! The wooden interior and mosquito nets made us feel like some kind of a safari movie, only that we were enjoying this experience in the middle of Koh Samui!
While one can enjoy a bath in the private plunge pool or the bathtub, the interior of the Villa was more than inviting too. The beautiful wooden details along with crisp white cushions and linen are the perfect choice for the traditional thai surroundings. And of course waking up with a view to your own private pool got us out of bed every morning within seconds!
Breakfast & Dining options
Same as the SALA Chaweng, you can choose from a wide selection of cold and warm dishes at the breakfast buffet but also make your selection from a daily changing breakfast menu. From Mushroom toast with eggs over to french toast or waffles there is always something to find for every taste!
Another favorite of mine were the exotic juices and smoothies that were freshly prepared at the Juice bar. And you could always count on the friendly chef to make his round and offer an extra gem prepared in his kitchen.
The restaurant with sea view of course also offered lunch and dinner with daily changing menus and special theme evenings. We stayed for a cocktail dinner with incredibly good fish! And don’t forget to try the desserts: the chocolate fondant was straight from heaven!
Pool & Spa area
With your own private pool at your doorstep you might think – why bother about the pool area? Well, make your way to the pool area and you will be proven wrong just like me. 😉 The first pool of the SALA Choengmon opens up in a futuristic, black- tiled design with a giant pond of sea roses surrounded which left us absolutely astonished! The comfortable sunbeds convinced me to stay here even longer that I expected.
Just next to it, you’ll find another huge pool next to the beach, which is family-friendly and offers the beach bar amenities and everyhing you can ask for. Last but not least, the Spa has a wide range of massages and treatments when it comes to your body’s wellbeing. And as we were digging in to the most delicious food during our stay, we also made use of the Gym that is well equipped and easy to use.
Thanks to the team of Samui Choengmon Beach for the invitation. This invitation didn’t influence my review and this post reflects my own opinion.
