Focus Sustainability: Blanche
Just in time and a few days after Copenhagen fashion week ended, I’m back with a new sustainability post about the upcoming danish designer label Blanche.
It has been established in 2017 with eco-friendly denim by Mette Fredin and Melissa Bech, who might sound familiar to you (as they have a very fashionable insta- account ofc). Since then, the jeans are an absolute must in the fashion scene but they do create logo tees, bags and ready to wear.
And while sustainability has become some kind of a buzzword, they do make clear that it’s in the brands DNA: “To us, CSR isnÕt a strategy, a business objective or a brand initiativeÑitÕs a necessity, not only for us but even more so for the world around us.”Ê
Designed in Copenhagen, the clothes are made from pure textiles through sustainable production where a large majority of the materials are either organic, GOTS-certified or leftover fabric from past production. I’m wearing a blazer and skirt from the Resort ’19 collection but definitely can’t wait to get my hand on some jeans as well.
