Recently, I noticed that there has been again a demand for shooting locations in and around Berlin and I was even more surprised, that the belonging blog post from two years ago is still one of the most clicked ones. So I thought it’s about time for a refresh – an update on my favorite shooting locations.

Of course some of those named in the older post still count as my favorites. But with a more minimalistic approach these days, there are definitely more matching options these days.Ê
Theater des Westens
Located right around the corner of Ku’Damm and Zoologischer Garten, this theater has different options and backgrounds to shoot and is usually not too crowded with people.Ê

Kaernerpark, Neukaelln
Usually I’m not that into shooting in the area of Neukaelln as there are lots of graffiti – but this park is an absolute gem! During spring and summer season even more of course.Ê

Kleistpark
Right at Ubahn Kleistpark you can find different shooting locations such as these pillars and the belonging park around it. Also, there are some more industrial building next to it which can be perfect for pictures too.

Bikini Berlin Rooftop
At Zoologischer Garten you’ll be able to find the newly renovated Bikini Berlin building which offers a rooftop and several locations for shooting pictures. Of course you can also check out the Motel One and Waldorf Astoria Hotel which offer bright/ marble fronts.Ê

Prinzessinnenpalais
In the older blog post about shooting locations in Berlin, I already linked you the “Museumsinsel” as it offers many different places and backgrounds. Just on the other side of the road, you can also find the Prinzessinnenpalais that has just been opened this year and also offers different locations.Ê

Gendarmenmarkt
Another oldie but goldie – the area around Gendarmenmarkt has many historical buildings and of course the german and the french dome.Ê
James-Simon- Galerie
And the newest shooting location on the list, as it has just been opened some months ago: the James Simon Galerie has quickly developed into my favorite area as shooting location.Ê
