Hamburg Weekend Guide & Fall Outfits

HAMBURG WEEKEND GUIDE

Moin Moin Hamburg! If you haven’t been to the north of germany, especially to Hamburg, you should deifnitely put it on your list! (By the way “Moin Moin” is nordish german for Good morning 😉 ). We have been to Hamburg several times but still, it never gets boring to us. So last week we took the bus (only 3 hours from Berlin) to the north and stayed for the weekend. If you made it to Hamburg, you should definitely take a walk along the harbor, the so-called Landungsbruecken and the warehourse district (“Speicherstadt”). If you want to dive in the more younger arts districst, you need to make your way to the Schanzenviertel. Even though it is not as alternative as it used to be and got quite pricey. Nevertheless, the area around Gaensemarkt, Townhall and Jungfernstieg are aslo a mustÊ while visiting Hamburg.

WHERE TO STAY

Just in the are of Gaensemarkt, you will find the SIDE Design Hotel Hamburg. Even though we’ve been to Hamburg several times, stayed atmultiple hotels or at friends’, this time we decided that we wanted to indulge a bitand stay somewhere luxurious. Th SIDE Hotel is a 5-star-residence and especially the spa and wellness area got our attention. Sauna, steam bath, whirlpool and fitness club were more than amazing and perfect after a long day wlaking around the city. Below you can also see the modern design which was cool but still comfortable.

A big thanks to the lovely staff of SIDE Design Hotel Hamburg for the cooperation.

WHERE TO EAT

Maybe you remember my last Hamburg Food Guide, whereÊ already told you five perfect restaurants and cafÂŽs in Hamburg. Also this time we had our first breakfast at Nord Coast Coffee as we loved it that much last time. Make sure you try the banana pancakes! Another favorite is the asian-fusion kitchen of COA, which is perfect for lunch or dinner. If you are looking for delicious burgers and -oh my- the best truffle cheese fries, then you need to try Dulf’s. The second photo below shows our second breakfast at Mad about Juice. Here we tried the tasty cai Bowls and how cute is my coffee with the bear face?! 😉 Lastly, I’m a huge fan of PokÂŽ Bowls and we had the best one (pink sshi rice!) at the newly opened store of Urban Foodie.

WHAT TO WEAR | OUTFIT #1 VINYL PANTS & BERET

As we were traveling by bus from Berlin to Hamburg (only 3 hrs!), I treid to limit my luggage as much as possible. That’s why I usually pack only within one colour palette. This time I chose beige, black and white as the basic colors. Also, you can tell that I’m pretty obsessed with berets right now. And bringing some hats was such a good choice, as it was quiet cold in Hamburg. Lastly, I finally brought out my vinyl pants and the Vans sneakers again.

WHAT TO WEAR | OUTFIT #2 OVERKNEES & BERET

For the second look, I just changed the sweater against a wide-sleeved blouse and the pants and sneakers against skinny jeans and my overknees. I already bought the Overknees back in Palma de Mallorca, if you might remember, so it was about time for them to be worn. 🙂
